If there’s one thing that all babies have to go through at some point, it’s weaning: learning to go from a diet of milk only to consuming solid food. It can be quite challenging but getting it right from the start can lay the foundations for healthy eating habits from the very beginning. So for all my mothers with young babies reading this, you might be interested in the following: Next week, Cape Talk radio will be hosting a one hour live studio audience to discuss the topic of weaning. It will be facilitated by the authors of the newly launched book called Weaning Sense, Meg Faure and paediatric dietician Kath Megaw.
It will take place next Tuesday, 29 August from 2-3pm at the Cape Talk studio in Green Point as part of their weekly segment called Family Matters.
Not only will the attendees benefit from the authors’ immense knowledge but they’ll also get a sneak peak at Cape Town’s newest hotel, the Tsogo Sun Square which opens on 1 September, so email early to secure your seat. If you’d like to join the live studio audience, please send your details in an email to comments@capetalk.co.za with the words “Weaning Sense” in the subject line.
There is no cost to attend, and a few lucky audience members will win copies of the book and tickets to Meg Faure’s next parenting workshop. If you can’t make it to the live studio audience, you can listen in on the conversation live on air from 2-3pm on 567AM.
Now where was this book when I was weaning Rupert a year ago?
