I feel like I’ve been so fortunate to have been sent some really good natural hair products lately. And when I say good, I mean excellent! One such brand is called Bouclème Curls Redefined. Guys, I just had to take one look at the packaging and I was already sold. And when I read 0% sulphates, silicones and parabens it was just the cherry on top.
I was sent five of the products in the range, but my review covers four:
- Curl Cleanser
- Intensive Moisture Treatment
- Curl Cream
- Curl Defining Gel
I did a full-on styling video over on YouTube where I show you how I style my hair with the Curl Cream and the Curl Defining Gel, so go ahead and watch the video over here, but for now I’m going to let you in on a bit more about the cleanser and the moisture treatment.
Curl Cleanser
This is super nourishing and softening, gentle, no-suds cleanser. It promises not to strip the hair of any moisture, and it honestly lives up to that claim. After I had worked the cleanser through my hair, my curls felt both moisturised and soft, not at all stripped of its natural oils. The best thing about it was that I could easily detangle my hair with it in.
It contains a special blend of argan, virgin coconut oil, honey, aloe vera, linseed and pomegranate extracts. And with the added fragrances of citrus, spearmint and magnolia leaf, my curls felt clean, fresh, fragrant and hydrated. And being 98% plant derived, my curls were happy.
Intensive Moisture Treatment
Recently I’ve fallen in love with the process of deep conditioning again, and this intensive moisture treatment could not have come into my life at at a better time. It’s designed to strengthen hair, enhance curl definition, rebalance moisture and improve hair health. And even though I’ve only used it a few times over the last 3 weeks, I’m extremely happy with the condition of my hair lately.
The treatment is rich in omegas 6 & 9; Marula Oil protecting hair against environmental stressors; moisturising Mafura Butter to prevent breakage; penetrative Camellia Oil to reduce tangling and infuse hair with vitamins A,B,C and E; softening Prickly Pear Seed Oil packed with vitamin E, minerals and fatty acids, antioxidant Sea Buckthorn Oil to stimulate growth and promote hair elasticity plus plant based keratin Wheat Bran with amino and fatty acids to help improve flexibility, manageability and condition of hair. It’s also 97% plant derived.
I took this information straight off the Bouclème website, but I think it’s vital to share all the powerful ingredients and the subsequent benefits that the product holds.
After leaving it in my hair for 20 minutes, my hair was soft, moisturised and really easy to detangle with my fingers.
Watch the video below to see how I applied the Curl Cream and the Curl Defining Gel as well as how I went about styling my hair to achieve this gorgeous super defined wash and go.
If you don’t know already, I have an ongoing wash and go series over on YouTube where I share with you the the different wash and go results I achieve using different products. I do hope you enjoy watching and be sure to let me know what you think of the video as well as to subscribe!
