The weather in the UK has been absolutely ghastly over the last couple of weeks and it doesn’t look like it’s about to let up soon. Even a couple of days ago when Michael and I went on a wine tasting date to Tinwood Estate, it probably couldn’t have been a worse day weather-wise. We arrived early so that we could walk the grounds and take some outfit photos but unfortunately it was still pouring down. Luckily the wine tasting event was indoors and as we were about the leave afterwards, it dried up a little and we managed to get these these shots, which I love!

However, seeing as the weather forecast is still looking quite grim for the foreseeable future, here are some petite styling tips for dressing for the cool and rainy weather during the Summer.
- Layering is your best friend – try wearing a cropped trench coat such as this one or this one over a basic T-shirt to keep you warm and covered when it rains. A cropped denim jacket is a good alternative.
- Opt for light and loose layers of fabrics, such as a long-sleeved linen shirt worn open over a tucked-in tank top.
- Select comfortable shoes made from leather or a sturdy material (not canvass or sandals) to prevent your feet from getting soaked while out and about!
I’ve collated all my suggestions for you in the graphic above. Feel free to shop your own wardrobe for these outfit combinations, or to browse my suggestions.
